Almi Invest GreenTech is the climate-focused arm of Almi Invest, the venture capital operation of Sweden’s state-owned Almi. It invests in Swedish startups reducing carbon emissions, protecting natural resources or restoring ecosystems, across energy transition, circular economy and materials, transport and mobility, industry and manufacturing, and agriculture and food. It writes initial cheques of SEK 5-15 million at seed and Series A, with offices in Gothenburg, Lund and Stockholm.
Investment thesis
Backs entrepreneurs developing solutions with measurable benefits for the climate or ecological sustainability, such as reducing emissions, protecting biodiversity or restoring ecosystems, targeting companies able to cut at least 200,000 tonnes of CO2e annually within five to ten years.
