Angels Capital is the private investment company created by Mercadona founder Juan Roig in 2008, which shifted to venture investing in startups in 2014 and sits inside the Marina de Empresas hub in Valencia alongside the Lanzadera accelerator and the EDEM business school. Its own site reports more than EUR 40M invested across 75 portfolio companies; October 2025 press put the portfolio at around 70 companies and set targets of EUR 50M invested and 100 startups by 2027. It invests at early stage, reinvesting all divestments and dividends into new companies, and reports that about a quarter of its portfolio has a direct AI focus. Portfolio names include CoCircular, OnGres, Voicefinder, VICO Ahorro, Citring and Biotasmart.
