Investment thesis
Cambridge Enterprise Ventures is the investment arm of Cambridge Enterprise, the University of Cambridge's commercialisation office. It makes pre-seed and early-stage equity investments in university spinouts and alumni startups, across fields including biotechnology, decarbonisation, cybersecurity and optics. In 2023-24 it invested £6.47 million into 37 spinouts, and it runs three vehicles: the University Venture Fund, the University Discovery Fund and UCEF.
