Investment thesis

Paris Business Angels is a Paris angel network investing at pre-seed and seed and reinvesting in later rounds of companies it already backs. Its members have put more than 50 million euros into portfolio companies, with first cheques averaging around 330,000 euros in 2025 and reaching 500,000 euros or more in roughly one deal in ten. Sectors include edtech, data and AI, HR tech, biotech, agtech and greentech.

Paris Business Angels, founded in 2004 and based at 16 rue de Turbigo in Paris, is one of France’s most established angel networks. It reviews around 70 startup pitches a year, completes more than 10 first-round investments annually plus three to five refinancings, and has funded close to 200 companies for over EUR 30m in twenty years. Average first rounds have been above EUR 300k since 2021, with about 10% of companies raising EUR 500k or more, and the network can assemble up to EUR 5m alongside partner networks. Sectors covered include medtech, HR tech, digital and data/AI, edtech, agtech, logistics, greentech and cleantech. Around 30% of its members are former entrepreneurs, and it announced a co-investment partnership with healthcare network Angels Santé.
