Wave Ventures is a Helsinki firm whose investment team is capped at 25 years old. It began in 2016 as a student-run fund and now invests at angel and pre-seed stage across the Nordics.
Wave closed a third fund of EUR 10M in June 2026, taking the firm past 50 investments. It writes cheques of up to EUR 300,000 and backs 10 to 20 companies a year. Alongside the fund it runs the Wave Rebellion Grant, a EUR 240,000 programme for early-stage founders. In 2024 it had backed three of the five Nordic startups accepted to Y Combinator.
