This is a project commitment rather than an award. The 2026 cycle began with a Kickstart Day on 25 February 2026 at BBC Broadcasting House in London and ends with the results shown at IBC2026 from 11 to 14 September 2026, so taking part spans roughly seven months of work.

Companies join a project team alongside broadcasters and other industry participants rather than running something of their own. What comes out of it is a proof point with a named partner, showcased at IBC in Amsterdam.

No investment is made and no equity is taken. The 2026 call closed in early 2026 and no call has been published for 2027.
