World Smart City Awards 2026
The World Smart City Awards are presented at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona. They recognise urban innovation across fields including artificial intelligence, climate and mobility, and cover both smart-city projects and the startups behind them.
Winners take recognition and congress visibility rather than money. No cash award is recorded and no equity is taken.
The 2026 call closed on 29 June 2026 after 533 proposals from 68 countries, and the winners are announced at the congress on 3-5 November 2026 in Barcelona. No call for the 2027 awards has been published.
