Aglae Ventures was created in 2014 as the technology investment arm of Groupe Arnault, the family holding of Bernard Arnault. It is a multi-stage investor, backing companies ‘from first cheque to pre-IPO’ with tickets stated on its own site as ranging from $500k to $100m. The focus is on asset-light models: marketplaces, SaaS, platforms, consumer apps and digitally native brands, with a growing AI allocation. It has backed more than 100 companies, including Airbnb, Spotify, Stripe, Slack, Revolut, Back Market, eToro and Wiz, and in 2024 invested in AI startups H, Lamini, Photoroom, Proxima and Borderless AI.
