Investment thesis
AVP is an independent investment platform founded within AXA in 2016 and renamed Atlantic Vantage Point after its management team bought out AXA's stake, a transaction that closed in April 2025. It manages more than €2.5 billion across four strategies: venture, early growth, growth and a fund-of-funds programme. Cheque sizes run from about €1 million at venture stage to €150 million at growth stage. The firm invests in enterprise software, fintech and insurtech, digital health and consumer platforms across Europe and North America, with more recent activity in AI, cybersecurity, quantum and defence. Since 2016 it has backed more than 60 technology companies and committed to more than 60 funds, and in 2026 it launched E2D, a €500 million European dual-use and defence growth fund co-managed with Earlybird. AVP invests from offices in Paris, London and New York.
