Investment thesis
M12 is Microsoft's venture capital fund, investing from seed through Series B in AI applications, security for AI, AI cloud infrastructure, AI data operations and models, and deep tech systems. Its strategy is tied closely to Microsoft, and portfolio companies gain connections, customer introductions and product benefits through the company. M12 has more than 140 active investments and over 50 exits, and runs a joint AI and developer tools effort with GitHub.
