Octopus Ventures has backed founders since 2008 and is the venture arm of Octopus Investments. Standard pre-seed cheques are £100k without a board seat, and seed, Series A and later investments typically start at £1M, where it is willing to lead. The firm reports more than 180 teams backed and 32 exits, with portfolio companies including ManyPets, Depop, Elvie, Vitesse and LabGenius.
