Investment thesis
Playfair is a London fund that invests exclusively at pre-seed and is sector agnostic, backing companies across the United Kingdom and Europe. It writes cheques of £100,000 to £1.5 million, makes around six new investments a year and co-invests in every new deal. Founded in 2013, it supports companies through to Series A, a stage 78 percent of its portfolio has reached. Its third fund is £57 million.
