BIME Startup is the startup strand of BIME, the music industry conference in Bilbao. It pairs a startup village, where music-tech companies meet the conference’s professionals, with a competition judged by investors and industry executives that names the most innovative startup.
It is run with venture builder Eywa Space and backed by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia; the Basque Government’s labor department supported the 2024 edition. Close to 200 startups have taken part, and the 2024 competition was the fifteenth. Motmo Pro won in Bilbao in 2023. The 2026 edition takes place at BIME Pro 2026, 27 to 30 October.
BIME also runs a startup track at its Bogotá edition, with 20 startups in 2025 and the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce.
