Start-up Slams is the pitching session at BioFIT, the life sciences partnering event held at Parc Chanot in Marseille.
It is aimed at early-stage or newly formed life sciences companies that are seeking seed or Series A funding and are developing a novel technology or product. Applicants must be registered for BioFIT 2026 and complete the online application form.
Selected companies get a five-minute pitch in front of a jury of high-level representatives and international experts drawn from public bodies and institutions, the life sciences industry and the investment community, with potential partners and investors in the room. The winner is recognised as the most innovative life sciences start-up in Europe and honoured on the second day of BioFIT, and selected applicants get an exclusive 50% discount on a dedicated meeting space inside the exhibition area. No equity is taken. Applications for the 2026 edition close on 17 September 2026, ahead of BioFIT on 10-11 December 2026.
