The Gründer*innen Pitch is run by OMR 5050, the diversity strand of the OMR Festival in Hamburg.
It is aimed at early-stage startups that have been on the market for at least six months, with a founding team that is at least half female, working on measurable social, technological or ecological impact alongside financial returns, and looking to connect with VC and angel investors.
Around ten teams are picked for an exclusive pitch and networking evening with venture capital and angel investors in Berlin in March, and the top three then pitch on stage at the OMR Festival, gaining reach in front of the festival's digital-economy audience and access to the OMR 5050 expert network. No cash prize is published and no equity is taken. The 2026 call closed on 1 March 2026 and that final was pitched at the May 2026 festival; applications for the next round open ahead of the festival on 3-5 May 2027.
