The Sound of Solutions, full name “Innovation for Real Music Industry Challenges”, is the startup contest of the Reeperbahn Festival Conference in Hamburg. It is organized by MusicTech Germany, Wavelab and Music WorX, the music incubator of Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft.
Eight startups pitch for five minutes each to a jury and the audience at the festival. The winner takes prizes worth more than €15,000 in kind, including six months of coworking at SPACE Hamburg, a wildcard for the Wavelab incubator, legal advice, two months at thelab.berlin, and tickets to Music Frontiers, the German Creative Economy Summit and Reeperbahn Festival 2027. The winner is announced at the MusicTech Germany and Music WorX reception.
Reeperbahn Festival has hosted a startup contest since 2013. The 2026 call is closed.
