Green Angel Ventures, formerly Green Angel Syndicate, is a London-based angel network and EIS fund manager investing exclusively in early-stage UK companies fighting climate change. It has more than 300 specialist investor members who invest alongside its EIS Climate Change Fund, and it has deployed over £60M to date across a portfolio of more than 50 companies, with four exits. The team screens over 1,000 companies a year and typically makes 7-10 new investments, concentrating on the sectors it considers most damaging to the climate: energy, food and agriculture, water, the built environment, waste and recycling, and natural resources. It has been allocated £10M by the UK government for co-investment, and portfolio companies include NatureMetrics, DEScycle and Qflow.
