Investment thesis
KBC Focus Fund is the captive venture capital fund of KBC Group, run by the investment services team at KBC Securities in Brussels. It backs startups and growth companies in nanotechnology, microelectronics, deep tech and the Internet of Things, including companies selected by Start it @KBC, and does not rule out hardware-heavy businesses. First rounds usually run from 0.5 to 2.5 million euros, with up to 5 million euros over a company's life, as lead or co-investor.
