Investment thesis
Northern Gritstone invests in science and technology companies emerging from and around the universities of Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield and Liverpool. Founded in 2022 and based in Manchester, it backs deep technology and life sciences businesses from early stage through later growth. It looks for strong teams, defensible intellectual property and business models that deliver profit alongside purpose, and works as a long-term partner rather than a short-term shareholder.
