Investment thesis
BlackFin Capital Partners is an independent private equity firm dedicated to asset-light financial services in Europe. Founded in 2009 by Laurent Bouyoux, Paul Mizrahi and Bruno Rostain, it manages around €4 billion across complementary strategies and has completed more than 110 transactions, targeting insurance brokerage, wealth and asset management, payments and financial software, including complex carve-outs from large institutions. Its buyout Fund IV closed at €1.8 billion in October 2024, Europe's largest ever dedicated to the sector. The firm runs a team of some 50 investment professionals across Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and London, and its venture arm, BlackFin Tech, invests separately in European fintech and insurtech.
