Motier Ventures is the venture family office of Guillaume Houze and the owners of the Galeries Lafayette group, launched in 2021 and based at 40 boulevard Haussmann in Paris. It describes itself as ‘a value-added business angel at scale’, writing up to EUR 300k as a first cheque and following on with up to EUR 3m in later rounds. Focus areas are the future of commerce, fintech, creative technologies, consumer and gaming, infrastructure and tooling and the future of work, with AI and blockchain as cross-cutting themes. The portfolio counts more than 90 companies, including Mistral AI, Dust, Alma, Arianee and Coinhouse. It also runs La Maison, an 1,800 sqm Paris space for portfolio founders and the French tech community.
