Implicity raises €35M to scale AI cardiac monitoring in the US

Paris medtech Implicity lands €35M from IRIS and Five Arrows to take FDA-cleared cardiac AI deeper into the US, on evidence of 26% lower patient mortality across 120,000 monitored patients.

Paris-based Implicity has raised €35M in growth funding, co-led by IRIS and Five Arrows, to scale its AI-powered cardiac remote monitoring platform across the United States after reporting a 26% reduction in patient mortality.

European medtech keeps hearing that growth capital is the missing rung on our ladder – and yet here is a French electrophysiology startup closing a €35M growth round from two European investors to go win the American market. Below, I lay out what Implicity announced, why the clinical numbers matter more than the amount, and what this round tells us about where European health AI is heading.

The round: €35M from IRIS and Five Arrows

Implicity announced on 9 September 2026 a €35M growth equity round, presented as $40M in the company’s own US release, co-led by IRIS, the European tech growth firm, and Five Arrows, the alternative assets arm of Rothschild & Co.

The money has one job: the United States. Implicity has operated a commercial office in Cambridge, Massachusetts since 2022, and the new funds go to expanding that commercial footprint, hiring, building US-specific features, and pushing its AI and heart failure prediction algorithms further. “This funding lets us care for patients at scale, catching the information through the noise to provide the best possible care,” said co-founder and CEO Dr Arnaud Rosier, a practising electrophysiologist, in the announcement.

It follows a $23M Series A in April 2022 backed by Crédit Mutuel Innovation and Bpifrance, bringing the company’s total raised to roughly $69M since its founding – per Tech Funding News, September 2026.

Ten years of listening to hearts

Founded in Paris in 2016, Implicity built a universal remote monitoring platform for cardiac implantable devices – pacemakers, defibrillators, implantable loop recorders – that pulls data from every major manufacturer into one clinical workflow. Today the platform serves more than 250 medical centres and monitors over 120,000 patients daily across the US, France and Germany, per the company’s announcement.

The clinical evidence is the real headline. Implicity reports a 26% reduction in mortality and a 4% reduction in hospitalisations compared with conventional remote monitoring, and its ECG Analyzer cuts false alarms by up to 76% – the noise that drowns cardiology teams. Its algorithms, including the SignalHF heart failure prediction model, are FDA-cleared as Class II medical devices. At Institut Mutualiste Montsouris in Paris, the platform let one team scale from 250 monitored patients to 5,000, per EU-Startups.

The team behind those numbers is still remarkably compact: around 120 to 125 people, with 15 in the US and four in Germany, the rest in France – Tech Funding News, September 2026.

A $4.1bn market compounding at 11.3%

The global remote cardiac monitoring market was worth $4.1bn in 2024 and is projected to reach $12bn by 2034, an 11.3% CAGR over 2025-2034 – Market.us, March 2026. North America alone holds more than 47% of it, which is exactly why this round is denominated in American ambition.

For scale inside our own fundraising data, remote patient monitoring is having a European moment: Lisbon’s Hope Care raised €6M in Series A earlier this month for its home monitoring platform. Implicity’s €35M sits a full stage later, and it buys distribution rather than product – the product has already cleared the FDA.

The growth cheque Europe finally wrote

So what does this round actually signal? For years the pattern was depressingly predictable: European health AI companies proved the science at home, then took American growth capital to scale – and the value quietly migrated with it. Here the cheque comes from IRIS and from Rothschild & Co’s growth arm, two firms rooted in Paris, funding a French company’s assault on the world’s largest healthcare market.

The good news is that European growth-stage conviction is building. French AI champions are raising at scales we did not see two years ago – Mistral AI’s €3B Series D made the loudest version of that argument last week – and Implicity makes the quieter, clinical case: French growth capital funding the stage where it used to bow out.

What to watch now is execution: US cardiology is a brutally competitive market where the incumbents are the device manufacturers themselves, and a 125-person team from Paris is betting that manufacturer-neutral AI beats vertical lock-in.

Ten years in, Implicity has the clinical evidence, the FDA clearances and now the capital. The next 120,000 patients will tell us whether European medtech can win America on its own terms. Watch this one closely.
