AC Biode entered the JEC Composites Startup Booster 2026 with Plastalyst, a low-temperature recycling catalyst. The technology has moved beyond plastics into carbon fiber reinforced polymer, and the company published a PCT patent in July 2026 covering depolymerisation of polyester into methanol without organic solvents. AC Biode is registered in Luxembourg with operations in Japan, was founded in 2019, and employs around nine people.
AC Biode took the Sustainability Prize at the JEC Composites Startup Booster at JEC World 2026 in Paris on 11 March 2026.
