IDRO makes a wearable patch that measures lactate in sweat in real time. Sweat flows into a cartridge with an enzyme-based sensor, and a small reader streams the lactate value to a smartphone app, so athletes can manage effort and training without blood tests.
The sensor was co-developed and tested with Olympic athletes and their teams. IDRO is a Belgian company founded in 2020.
