France Angels is the Fédération Nationale des Business Angels, the umbrella body for organised business angel networks in France, based at 16 rue de Turbigo in Paris. It represents its member networks before public and private authorities, trains and structures new networks, and is a founding member of Business Angels Europe and the World Business Angels Association. Its 2024 barometer counted 5,500 active business angels investing EUR 98.6m into 445 startups, with 44% of deals being follow-on rounds. It does not invest directly itself: capital is deployed by its member networks and their individual angels, mostly at pre-seed and seed.
Investment thesis
France Angels is the national federation of French business angel networks, based in Paris and founded in 2001. It represents and coordinates member networks across the country, produces sector data and training, and lobbies on the conditions for private seed investment in France. It sits inside the European seed financing ecosystem through its membership of the European Business Angel Network.
