Provence Angels, also known as Provence Business Angels, is the business angel network of Marseille and the Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur region, created in 2008 as a loi 1901 association and affiliated to France Angels. It groups around 80 active investor and mentor members who back seed-stage startups, taking part in rounds of roughly EUR 200k to EUR 2m either alone or in co-investment with regional funds. It finances in the order of six to eight companies a year and reported eleven startups financed in 2024. Members provide hands-on mentoring in addition to capital, and the network is a core financing channel of the Aix-Marseille French Tech ecosystem.
