i-Demo — prochaine vague (AAP generique)
Applications to i-Demo open in waves rather than continuously, and none is open at present. The next is expected in February or March 2027, and no opening date has been confirmed.
Bpifrance administers the scheme for work carried out in France, and accepts both single companies and consortia. Project budgets are typically above EUR 2M, which sets the floor on the kind of applicant it suits: deep-tech teams with a substantial development programme behind them and the administrative capacity to run a large project through a public funder.
Support is split between a grant and a repayable advance, so part of the money has to be paid back to Bpifrance. Nothing is taken in equity.
What it actually costs you
Structuring R&D projects are what i-Demo funds, whether run by a single company or a consortium, through Bpifrance in France. Budgets are typically above EUR 2M, and support combines a grant with a repayable advance, so no equity is taken. Deep-tech teams with a substantial development programme and the capacity to manage a large project are the intended applicants.
