Paris-based Granit has raised €5M in its first round, made up of €3.5M in equity led by Seedcamp and €1.5M in non-dilutive financing with Bpifrance, to put AI agents on the billing work of French healthcare providers.

Paperwork is the part of a clinician’s day that never gets shorter. A company founded eight months ago now has a London seed fund and Bpifrance behind a plan to change that. Below, I lay out the round, the company, the market and what the pattern says.

Seedcamp leads €3.5M of a €5M first round

Granit announced the round on November 5, 2026. Seedcamp led the equity portion. Drysdale Ventures, Re:rail, Purple, Cleo Ventures and Kima Ventures took part, according to the company’s press release. Bpifrance joined the €1.5M non-dilutive part, and the release does not state the instrument or Bpifrance’s share. No valuation was published.

Vestbee reported the total as $6M. Granit announced it in euros, so we use €5M. The company says the money goes to new healthcare verticals, bigger technical and commercial teams, and a first move into several European markets beyond France.

Two hundred and fifty practices in eight months

Granit was founded in March 2026 in Paris by Jenny Mansour, its CEO, and Corneille Maréchal. Its agents log in to the software providers already use and to outside platforms such as health insurers, AmeliPro and Doctolib. From there they handle billing, payment reminders, rejected claims and coverage checks. The company lists 16 connectors on its site, including Almerys and Viamedis.

Granit says more than 250 healthcare organizations in France use it, that it cuts administrative time by up to 90%, and that it deploys in days without a heavy integration project. Those are company figures, and no independent study has verified them. Hosting is HDS-certified, data stays in the EU and the product is GDPR compliant.

Startup.eu quotes Mansour on the design choice: “We do not want to add another piece of software to the already crowded daily routine of healthcare professionals.” The product is a worker that uses the screens people already have open.

A 39% growth rate on a very broad market

The need is documented. A Tandem Health survey cited in Granit’s release, covering more than 1,000 healthcare workers in five European countries, found that 82% say administrative tasks cut into time with patients and 65% spend more than an hour a day on them.

On size, MarketsandMarkets puts European AI in healthcare at $4.20bn in 2024, growing to $31.72bn by 2030, a 39.0% CAGR over 2025-2030. That segment covers all healthcare AI, clinical tools included, so it overstates what billing automation alone will capture. We found no reliable sizing for practice-level billing automation in France. For a company eight months old, the useful reading is that capital is arriving in this segment faster than anyone has measured it.

Billing agents keep landing in back offices first

Granit joins a pattern in our own records. Barcelona’s Kabilio raised €10M on November 5, led by Picus Capital and Visionaries, for an AI agent inside accounting firms. Conlio raised €6.4M led by Piton Capital to check freight billing. In each case the product works the queue of invoices, claims and reminders that sits behind a decision.

Seedcamp leading a company this young suggests investors will pay for that queue. What to watch next is whether Granit’s rejected-claim fixes hold as it adds insurers, and which country it enters second, since every European country runs its own reimbursement system. The full list of rounds sits in our fundraising data.

The second market decides the story

France gave Granit a dense set of insurers, portals and practices to learn on. Europe has spent years digitizing the front desk, and the back office is next in line. The goal is hours returned to patients. Watch Granit’s second market to see how far that travels!
