Investment thesis
age1 is a venture firm dedicated to longevity biotechnology, backing companies developing therapeutics, tools and platforms that target ageing and age-related disease. It writes first cheques at pre-seed and seed and follows into later rounds. Launched in 2023 with $35M and based in San Francisco, it was founded by Laura Deming and Alex Colville as the successor to The Longevity Fund, which Deming started in 2011 and which backed Loyal, Gordian Biotechnology and Fauna Bio.
