Investment thesis
The EQT Life Sciences Dementia Fund is a €260M vehicle investing exclusively in companies working on dementia and neurodegenerative disease. It backs therapeutics and medical devices from early through late stage, and expects to build a portfolio of 10 to 15 companies. Investing mainly in Europe while also considering Asia, Israel and the United States, it is led by Philip Scheltens and counts the Alzheimer's Association and the European Investment Fund among its backers. Holdings include AviadoBio, Muna Therapeutics and QurAlis.
